The Weekend 1/11-1/12

The Sargent's dear friends, the Ballews arrived late Friday evening for the weekend.

8:15am-Morning property check -
Two large pine limbs broken off tree on Cottage Lane (apparently from an errant delivery vehicle!?)

SY Met Mark Ballew (taking pictures) and Mary Grace (feeding the horses at the pasture fence.)

Saturday Morning - beautiful clear, warm day after some early morning fog

SY assembled the Skeet Shoot apparatus
Sargeants & Ballews made a Gator Tour of Ramsay

Tom, Mark, Mary Grace, Janet, and SY had an engaging trial with the Skeet Shoot on the front lawn.
Hunter makes an unfortunate big splash in the fish pond--a frightening and upsetting event for Reae, particularly. With much loving attention from myriad nurses and a portable heater, Hunter regains his waning dignity.

Saturday Afternoon

Unexpected visitors, James Langhorne (direct CD Langhorne descendant) and his grandmother Liz (who turns out to be Stephen's 5th grade school teacher) drop in to take some photos for a book about the Langhorne family James is writing. A brief and engaging visit in the library with visitors, Tom, Mark, and Stephen!
Skeet Shooting morphs to pistols as Mark and Tom redistribute the tensions of business & high finances!
Late afternoon, everyone gathers at the outdoor fireplace...and all linger well into the evening...

Sunday Morning - mild, damp and foggy

7:00am-Property Check/Lanscape lights out, etc.

Sargeants & Ballews enjoy quiet Sunday morning at Ramsay
Susan Lankenau on site for final personal property discussion/settlement with Tom & Reae

Stephen & Susan head to Louisa County to investigate (purchase?) a vintage carriage and
Shire horse (Susan wants to call her Molly!)

Mid-afternoon, Ballews head south and a bit later, Tom, Reae & Hunter head north. Another relaxing, delightful, and wonder-filled weekend at Ramsay!!
