Quote from last week's post: "But the calendar says there are three more weeks of winter, and March can bring late winter surprises with little warning! Didn't realize I was predicting the future!!"
The forecasts began over the weekend that Central Virginia might receive 12"-18" of snow from a classic late winter snowstorm that raced in from the mid-west. The storm began about 9pm Tuesday, and by late afternoon on Wednesday, we had 13" of heavy, wet snow blanketing the estate! Over 2 feet in the Valley.
Wednesday - about noon
Friday after much melting!
We were ready for a delivery at the Cottage on Wednesday--that NEVER came!!
We lost power about 8am Wed. and it was thankfully restored after lunch on Thursday. Many areas close by were without power until Sat. evening.
Routine activities--During another quiet, but weather-laden week at Ramsay!
Property checks, livestock feeding, lights on/off- & lock downs,
receiving & unpacking deliveries (just a few)
post office runs, materials runs for painters. Emails,
texts, phone conversations, etc. Sherry here M,T,F. And the painters finished up the interior of the Studio.
